Ossoff GOTV Effort Starts Tuesday
Democrat Jon Ossoff is in a tight race for the open Georgia District 6 congressional seat. Here’s recent NY Times coverage of the race. The special election takes place April 18. Our friends at Do the Most Good–Montgomery and the JWalkers Action Group have organized to support Ossoff and need your help.
“GOTV (Get Out The Vote) is an intense period of phone banking and canvassing and doing everything possible to get every single Ossoff support in Georgia’s 6th District to the polls on April 18. We have 2-3 phone banks every day except Good Friday and Easter, and we are launching a Canvass to Georgia on Thursday morning, April 13, returning Sunday, April 16. We need all hands on deck! Please consider what’s at stake here: showing the Republicans (and ourselves) that we are serious about flipping states and taking back our Congress. Click the sign-up link here or below, check out the available times and towns, and SIGN UP FOR AT LEAST ONE PHONE BANK and maybe even an excellent 4-day adventure to Georgia!!”
Sign up for Takoma Park or other Montgomery County phone banking – or for Georgia canvassing. We are calling every day or night until the election except Good Friday and Easter.
